EML

E-Mail Message File

EML files store individual email messages in a standardized format compliant with RFC-822, making them widely compatible across email clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, and Apple Mail. Each file contains the email's header, body, and attachments as plain text with MIME encoding. EMLs are ideal for archiving, transferring, or backing up single messages without requiring a live email server.
